Hi everybody, I wonder how many of you remember the Great Antonio always pulling buses at the Atwater bus station. He died this past week. I think he lived in Verdun at one time when I was a kid on Ethel Street. He pulled four buses full of people down St.Catherine and wresled fourty people at the same time and won. Was on Johnny Carson. He was quite the caracter. There are articals on the net about him. Dannyb

Is the the fellow who was claimed to be able to open the windows of the
St. Catherine St. streetcars? Which were impossible to open in my day.
Second Avenue.
"Joy can be real only if people look upon their life as a service, and
have a definite object in life outside themselves and their own
personal happiness."
- Leo Tolstoy
I had the ''pleasure'' of meeting the Great Antonio when I worked at a copy centre on deMaisonneuve 8 years ago. He was quite an interesting character.... ...he would get copies made of old pictures and newspaper clippings of his ''feats'' that hw would either give or sell to anyone interested. He used to play ''hockey'' with his long pony tail while he was waiting for his copies. mpu
