Population Verdun

La population de Verdun en 1942 était de 73,293 âmes et  61,307 en 1991 soit une diminution de 11,986 âmes ou 16.35%.sur une période d'une cinquantaine d'année. 
 
The population of Verdun in 1942 was 73,293 against 61,307 in 1991, a reduction of 11,986 or 16.35%.over a span approximately 50 years.

Hello Guy5479,,...Thanks for the Verdun population stats,...Were you by any chance able to find the stats for the population,around 1968,9 or 70 ?  because I seem to recall the big Welcome to Verdun sign on Lasalle Blvd,..mentioninga pop. of around 99,000 .... I wonder if there are any pictures of those old signs around,.....I Rememeber two,..the one on Lasalle Blvd,....of course,...and the one sign near the rainbow bridge,..in that small park as you entered Verdun from Cote St Paul ..........Thanks for info ,should you find some....................HF&RV

Les- I will keep an eye out for that type of information and post it. I am working on a file system where all information on Verdun at the SHGV will be easily acessible but this will take time. Guy
