Pavillon House

Here is another view of the Pavillon House. The photo was taken prior to it's demolition in 1954. I am also including a photo I took near the Auditorium at the corner of De LÉglise and LaSalle Blvd on 11/10/2007. There is a car wash to the left of the garage where the Pavillon was wich you cannot see on the photo.

Hello Guy, will you be adding these two photos to one of your photo albums ? I hope so,as when viewing pictures through this blog,we are limited to the one viewing size posted, but I believe that when they are in an album ,we can use a 'Zoom In ' featue allowing us a closer look ? At least I think that's the case, Great old photo of that corner , I spent plenty of time around that whole area,& it's always neat to see the old places,.................................Thanks Again , HF&RV

Les, yes these photos are in the photo section of my site and you can get a larger view. I believe that by joining the Premium Verdun connection you can get a full page view of the photos but it costs $19.95 per year along with other extras.

Yes Guy that is a good site, & there are several related to Montreal & related areas,.many good blogs out there..... SpacingMontreal is another,.Walking Turcot Yards,....to name a couple off the top of my head.....check them out, they will have some of the same story's we have posted & occasionally they have new stuff ,we haven't seen yet ( or I hadn't) ..There must be some good archive resources around Montreal,I wish I was there for a month or so & I'd seek out these places & I'm sure we'd have much more material to work with ( photo's etc etc & stories)........I would really like to check out the Sherbrooke Quebec Library & look through it's archives as they've been a source of photo's for me for years now,.......one of the first I posted from 'bilan de siecle' Sherbrooke ,was one of the 'opening of the Decarie Expressway / Turcot Interchange from the air,...it was a great shot & the photo was taken by Al Leishman a friend of my brother's & mine ,who used to work as a photographer for the Montreal Star (& later the Gazette)
So search around , & you will find some interesting pics out there..........always neat to stumble across new stuff, & then share them here..........................................HF&RV
