Has anyone seen the Reitman's commercial, with the two men, one chinese, and one baldie with round glasses.
Then there is a 58 Wellington bus pulls up. They shoot around so fast, and it is difficult to see whereabouts in Verdun.
Has anyone seen this.

Reitmans............I haven't heard of that place for decades,..wasn't it just past Gagnon's on Wellington St same side as Gagnon's but not as far as the old Woolworth's? ......then further down Wellington Street still on the same side,.there was a little Laura Secord shop,.................?? I think that's how it went................................ HF&RV
Doesn't ring a bell with me,.but here's a shot T.514-768-5058, 4025 Wellington found this on the Wellington Street Promenade site: http://promenadewellington.com/Info_commerce.asp?Lang=2&compt=95&NCC=255 Have Fun & Remember Verdun
Can't see it,in this old photo ,.but the old Gagnon's & Woolworths sign can be seen,...... but if you use your imagination,..you can make out all the other Wellington Street stores,.............. HF&RV
Well I don't know about you,...but on further investigation ,of the previous post I can't see anything ,without using imagination.........hahahahahah maybe adding the picture might help.............. that's a little better: ..... Have Fun & Remember Verdun
even though I haven't seen the commercial Rietman's used to be between
Hickson and Church Avenues on Wellington St. Do you know when the commercial
was filmed?

that is definitely between Church Ave. and Hickson Ave. on
Wellington St. I think its next to the Dollarama store. It's possible that
before that it might have been on the corner of Gordon and Wellington, if
that's the case it would have been there before De L'Eglise metro station
opened because Greenbergs which is no longer around used to be on the corner
of Galt and Wellington, and it moved to the corner of Gordon and Wellington
when De L'Eglise metro opened. What is there now is Pharmaprix.

Hi BPL,..Your right about the Greenbeg's being on both the Galt & Wellington (NW), corner,.then moving to the corner of Gordon & Wellington (SE), where the Pharmaprix ended up being ,.,but Reitman's wasn't on that block that I recall,.because I lived right in the middle of the block at one time directly across from another womans' clothing store called Sally Shops,......... Reitmans was btwn Church & Hickson along with the aformentioned stores Gagnon's ,Woolworths,...etc etc with Marsha;;s across te street from Gagnon's,... also Remember Pascal's Hardware, had a store with an entrance on Wellington,...and the buiding shaped like an L also had an entrance / exit on Church Av as well.......................... many memories around that area, Does anyone rememeber the Bowling Alley almost across from Woolworth's with a few pool tables too,........they still had 'pin boys' to return the ball for you.................................. Regarding the Reitman's commercial I must clarify that it does not show the store. This commercial has been running for about one month now. It shows someplace in Verdun, at the 58 bus stop. They show the front of the bus which is 58 Wellington. The camera action is so fast it is hard to make out where abouts in Verdun this was filmed. There are two guys, one chinese and one balded headed with round glasses like mentionned previously who stand in the entrance of the bus talking about fashion and Reitmans. Sorry for being unclear.
