Looks as cold there,
as it does in the Michigan pictures.

Speaking of Winter ,.MaggieMck's province is experiencing -50 to -60 with the windchill,
according to the weather channel.,................Ay Caramba , Yikes, and all that stuff,.that is friggin cold baby......................and of course we have to follow that with the old , Yes, but it's a 'dry' cold. lol
That's cold Maggie, hope you've got the fireplace on ,too cold to have the kids out in that................... btw: the threat here is possibly some snow overnight accompanied by colder temps in the 0 variety for SVI however here's a webcam of the beach a few blocks down from me:
http://www.bigwavedave.ca/webcams.php?cam=7 just a bit grey looking right now, maybe I'll walk down and take some pics........ which reminds me perhaps I'll start a thread like we did on the other site called
'Your Neck of the Woods' where can post pics of where we all live,.I'd love to see some shots from Australia ,Hawaii of course & California & Florida as we have members from all over the globe ( or did have ) maybe the other members will jump in here soon.............. HF&RV (stay warm out there--except biking/secondave Bill, you stay above water............................

We got a few inches of snow last weekend and a few centimetres Friday. It's supposed to go down to -23 tonight here in Williams Lake, BC so I have a feeling tonight will be the night the lake freezes over. It always looks clean and pretty but I prefer to watch the open water. We do have winter tires up here!! I hear that with the new winter tire law in Quebec that tires are not so easy to access across Canada right now!!!

Hi Donna , the minus degree weather is here too ( Victoria BC) it's -4 right now ,incredibly sunny, and in the sun it's nice ,but when the wind starts later on today, they say it's a windchill of -18 ,.......that's a little chilly ,but nothing like they are having in the center of the country........... Hi Les:

By the shore of the St. Lawrence River we are in rain and it's a balmy plus 8C. I think the weatherman in the sky has been in the egg nog a little too much. We're having your type weather and you're having our type weather. At least until tonight when a cold front is suppose to come through and freeze everything up. From a plus 9C to a minus 7C all within 12 hours. Yikes

George , perhaps the weatherman in the sky is trying to tell Al Gore, that he & not Al will be the judge of whether there is Global Warming.....................hahahahahah I see a bunch of scientist's are suing the big blob aka Gore for misleading the public & then profiting from assisting the sale of carbon credits .
a typical dyslexic case of getting "Bull'd by the Gore" .......hf&rv

Hi Les:
The balmy weather we had took most of the snow away. However, overnight we received a new supply of snow. (about 15 cm or 6 inches) and we are suppose to get more tonight and again on Saturday. Guess the weather god has sobered up. lol

Same here George a balmy (as you put it) +4 today, then some rain washing much of the snow we got,& they are threatening to drop a little more on us overnight approx: 5cm but right now the Sun is out and the rain clouds have vanished...so maybe were back to normal,it's not often the golf course around here aren't open for play. I just got off the net with my brother, who lives in the environs of Vancouver and he tells me they have six inches of snow and that it is still blizzard like with another 4 to 6 inches expected before the storm moves on.

Les F said...

He's right George I just saw moments ago on the weather channel ,that there is a Blizzard Warning (& I don't mean at the DQ....hahahah) for the whole Fraser Valley right into Vancouver:
but so far nothing here,.................just the way I like it

George since yours is the last comment on here,I just want to bring you up to date,...We here are no longer lucky 'I Guess' since this whole week has been cold temps & snow fall ...........Yikes !! lol
It's snowing right now & has been since about 6pm(presently 11:30pm) I'm pressing my snow shovel into service first thing in the am: Unless biking/Secondave, can send that Pineapple Express were used to at this time of year............................HF&RV ps: I've seen the snowplow twice so far tonight ,that tells me something..........I'm just about expecting Rod Serling to stand in the corner of the room saying"Picture if you will,....snow in Victoria BC"................hahahahahha HF&RV
