Multiply have made some changes. I previously had the new multiply site in my favorites and was automatically signed in when going on the multiply site. Now when I go to the site, the invitation to join is on the top of the home page and also I have to enter my identification code and pass word to enter the site and the invitation to join is removed as explained by Les.

you guys are confused?! I'm new and don't have a clue as to what is going on. Am I out there or not out there? I just seem to keep sending myself stuff...I think. If anyone else is seeing me...somewhere, please let me know. I would like to take part on a message board but how do I get there? Help!

Hi Donna;

You are definitely 'out there'. Can read your message perfectly.

Doesn't seem like anything is happening here at all. Is the idea that there will be message boards here, or is to be just a facebook type clone?

Well, George. It is nice to see you(picture) and hear from you. We haven't or I haven't seen you in sometime...perhaps Gerry has. How are you doing? Is retirement good? Ger keeps threatening but as long as I have to work...so does he!ha.

Hi Donna:

Where are you guys living now. I'm in the Village of Cardinal, Ontario. That's about one hour away from the Ontario / Quebec border.

Hi Donna your msg's are appearing no problem, I believe that when we post anything here it appears on both Our own sites as well as in the blog here on the VC site,
A message board like the old MSN would be nice & we don't rule out anything ,should a better mousetrap come along.....but for now this is it.

Hi Ken , were trying to figure out the best usage of this MSN suggested substitute, I think they sold the MSN Groups to Multiply & frees them up to maybe come up with something better later on.We've experimented with several different types of sites & have opted to migrate here (at least for now) and make it work as best we can,...it slowly unravels itself to you but is a little non-user friendly. but on the plus side there are some decent features & out photo albums are decent too.
part of the somewhat confusion is that we can all comment on any thread,or photo , or blog . or note...instead of one generic user board, Navigating will get better, as instead of opening any particular thread,we get all the messages appearing in our (in-box) at the top of the page ,

Yea, Les, it s not easy out there without dipping into the ol pockets isn't it? Seems like having a structure that makes sense for members is tough with this kind of site, being used to boards rather than social sites where everything just becomes long comment threads. But I am sure it will figure itself out. Are you archiving the old board anywhere?

I would like to add my 2 cents. The big advantage of this new site is that we can have our own site within this site and we can download our photos wich is what I have been doing for the last couple of weeks so lets not get all excited as we will get used to it in time. Of course it is more complex than the previous site as the message board was simple to use. As far as I am concerned, I'm starting to get the knack of it and in a couple more weeks I'm sure things will get back to normal, so let's all be patient.

Good morning George..We are in Oakville, Ontario. We have been here for almost 29 years. You must have forgotten...age does that, you know! Has Gerry not contacted you yet? He is on here somewhere, too. We are all well. We have 3 Grandchildren. Joshua 7, Evan 4 and our little Princess, Victoria who is 2 months old. Always hectic around our house. My Mom is coming in tonight for Christmas. She is still on 5th Avenue...she is 86 and still living on the 3rd floor which is a little tough for her now. Never even heard of Cardinal. Small town? What made you retire there? Anyway, I am in work now so best I get going for now.

Hi Donna..... I thought you may have moved hence my question. Haven't heard from your hubby yet. Cardinal is right on the shore of the St. Lawrence river, about 20 minutes east of Prescott, one hour from Ottawa and two hours from Montreal. The whole Township has a total of 6,800 people. Yes it is small.About 1000 people. After retiring from the railway, we moved to the environs of Barrie; small Village of Angus. Lived there for 12 years and then decided to move this way so that Barbara could be closer to her sister. She is a seven minute car drive away. We like the smallness and we have met a lot of new friends. We both joined the Lions Club in town and that keeps us busy.....George

Hi George, Sounds like a nice community. Good for you! We really like Oakville, pretty town. Our next move will probably be to the "retirement home".lol. You should take a nice long drive one day (not this weekend, though..bloody white stuff on the way) but sometime after the winter. Come on down and visit.
How is Barbara. Say Hi to her for me. Talk to you soon.
