Moving Back

I had to go back east (from Calgary) for business for the last 2 months.  I got to spend the last 3 weeks in Montreal.  I was in Montreal because I am thinking of retiring back in Verdun in the very near future.
It has changed greatly!  But I've decided to go ahead with my plan.  I am now going to start home hunting.
I drove by 1076 Riverview where my Mom's folks lived for a few years.  And my Dad's folk home on Woodland.  The old house on Woodland looks very run down.  But it still has a big lot.
Riverview looks the same.
Food was fantastic.  I went to Schwartz's and bought a few briskets of smoked meat to come back to Calgary with, along with lots of other Montreal goodies!

You had mentioned that your Mom lived there...interested in selling.   I've sort of been day dreaming of living there or at my other grandparents on Woodland.

bigfellow   if i were you i'd rent-- in 2010 you will get a sweet deal on a property everybody here thinks they are in safe haven, the entire world is tanking on the housing market wait you will see i'm rite. put your money in gic's or take the risk gold or better silver even metals, steel, copper, nickel, zinc go to and read the forums, news etc it will open you to a understanding of what is going on out here. that's the best tip i can help out with
