Firth, Ross D.
FIRTH, Ross D. Peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the Montreal General Hospital at age seventy-nine.
As far as I know, Ross Firth was the "Boys' Vice Principal". I don't think he was ever the "Principal". He was gone before I got there. I graduated in 76
Hello MaggieMck,.Glad you posted that obit for the VP or P of VHS from days gone by,.because I do check the Obit's fairly often ,(Montreal) & I certainly would not have known this name Firth.I see several others obviously recognise him,Nice to have some memory's of Verdun History & Stuff kept alive,......again a fantastic reason to Appreciate the Verdun Connections, and having a place to Rememeber all those things & people we all grew up with...................Merci Maggie(Mck) but that wouldn't rhyme................... HF&RV
I attended VHS from 53 to 57. Dr. Grant was the Principal and someone else was the V.P. Can't remember his name but do remember his strap which he kept in the blue book of death. Ouch! Bill
Hi Just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about Mr.Firth..we did lock horns a few times over the years but in the end I think I actually got him to smile and shake his head when he figured this guy is a lost cause...I know someone who did an impression of him that was so right on he actually did it on the school inter com system. At the time you figure someone like that is the enemy but as you age you realize he had a job to do and not more than that. Alot of memories.. Lad
