I'm looking for an old high school friend Ronnie Probert. Went to VHS from 70-74. He lived on Gertrude, had a brother named Andy and a sister. He used to work at Henderson & Barwick (? not sure) after high school. Last I heard he moved to Toronto in the late 70's. If anyone has seen or heard of him please leave a message.

Sturgeon
I remember somewhere in Ville La Salle or Lachine in the 50s, where
they kept a couple of huge sturgeons (couple hundred pounds each I
think) swimming in a cement pond. We visited the place once or twice in
the summer months.

of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the
things that tormented me were the very things that connected me with
all the people who were alive, or who have ever been alive."

Tara Hall
I noticed we have a new member that has chosen this as a nickname. Made me think of a home that was for "wayward" girls (might have been just displaced girls even) back in the 70's. I think it was the girls' equivalent to Weirdale. Anyone else remember this?

Clothing,shoes, from the 70's
Hey Ladies!
This one is for us, a change from the Cars & Trains the Men folk are constantly chating about.
I'm wondering how many of you, like me still have some of the clothes you wore back then?
I have a few items, but one favorite dress I wore to a cousins Birthday Party. I think I was about 19 so that is 28 yrs ago and 3 sons and today I can wear it again. I also have a pair of High Heel Shoes I bought at one of the famous side walk sales back then & aside from having to glue the soles down last Xmas they are still in good condition. Guess that was when they made things to last QUALITY not QUANITY. Lucky for us some of our styles have come back, just don't tell the kids that. haha.

Class of 76 LaSalle High School
LHS is having their 30th reunion......next year 2006.....if anyone knows of someone....well please just read the note below.....Thanks!
Good day boys and girls;
Well, in case you haven't heard yet, there is another reunion in the works! In 2006, the Class of 1976 will be celebrating their 30 Year Reunion (god, are we that old?). This is the official launch of our website. Please go and have a look, register your information so that we can keep our records up todate and so that we can keep you informed with all the upcoming reunion news! PLEASE have a good look at the "Lost Souls" list as we are looking to make/update contact information with all of the people listed there and we need your help. If you have any tips/leads on anyone on the "lost souls" list please send them my way. Even if it is "his parents lived on Dollard", "her brother married my neighbour"....whatever you have - I'll work with. And the best news, we're opening up this reunion to our "friends" as well. That means that students from other years will be welcome to join us. (So many drove me crazy last time asking if they could come!).
Just an FYI - this website is "free" so sometimes, depending on the traffic it is getting, it goes down for a little bit. Don't fret, it comes back up quickly....

That is all for now.

Oldies on Sat. Evening
Someone mentioned that they liked CHOM's Electric Lunch Hour for the oldies. There's another one, Q92 on Saturday nights from 6-8PM Montreal time. Q92 is formerly CFQR. The music is 1960's to 1970ish. Brings back alot of memories. You won't find it in the Schedule part of their website, don't know why, but you can still listen live.
Here's the website: http://www.q92fm.com/index.php
