Cancer claims another victim,Donna Summer was only 63 years old. They say we are gaining ground on Cancer,but it sure is a terrible disease that seems to strike everyone of us (at least someone we know) and with great regularity.I am sure everyone of us knows several people each that have been sticken with cancer.I wonder if it will beever wiped out in our lifetimes.-LesDonna Summer, the Queen of Disco, has died at age 63.
TMZ reports that Summer died this morning in Florida after a battle with cancer.
If you had no idea she was ill, as I didn't, sources reportedly say Summer was trying to keep the extent of her illness a secret. And, in fact, she was very recently talking about working on a new album.
Summer won five Grammys and six American Music Awards, and had three multi-platinum albums. Her best-known hits includeGrammy "Hot Stuff," "Bad Girls" and "She Works Hard for the Money."
She is survived by her husband, three daughters, and four grandchildren.
