Visiting Verdun Visually (Les) | by Les for everyone |

THANKS for stopping by, I do my best to acknowledge when someone leaves a comment, you do not have to be a member here & everyone is welcome. Ps: This site is monitored but not actively posting on a regular basis. Mostly these are stories & some photos saved from a defunct site known as Verdun Connections which was on MSN Groups initially then on a social network called Multiply.

I mentioned this before that the origins of the photos must be specified to protect the rights of the authors. I recognize some of these photos from my photo albums on this site and some which originate from the SHGV archives and some in turn originate from the City of Verdun archives.I have been warned recently by the city of Verdun of this. So I now make sure that the authors are shown on the bottom of each photo. I also make sure to show my name when I am the one who took the photos.

Guy have a look under the photos ,the original numbers are there, If anything I remember posting all of these almost 10 years ago, & I make every attempt to credit photos & stories to their source, I have seen you post photos for us & they had been posted here & other sites well before, Every single one of these in this photo album are clearly identified and for that matter these are of the Public Domain.
but thanks for the suggestion.
Here is a copy of two comments under the album itself: both your concerns were addressed then as was there a reminder in my comment as to how long I had posted these pics & also credited the source. Here are the two comments:

Those photos are part of a City of Verdun site and also I have accumulated most of them in the photo album of our societie's archives (SHGV). Keep posting them from time to time.

Yes you can see the date of Mar 1st ,when I reposted this album, & I have been using these photos over the years, going way back to the beginning of the old site....HF&RV
I also had posted the link to this Verdun site, which is now part of the Virtual Museum of Canada, (used to be available in both languages at one time) but since it's predominantly just photographs, who cares....too bad though that unless your making a very random search for Verdun stuff, then the likelihood of coming across it is now a lot slimmer. It is a n interesting site, but so is the whole of the Musee Virtuelle & most of that site can be surfed in English too, just not the Verdun one anymore,......I've had it bookmarked for 6 or 7 years,I used to search for verdun stuff or Montreal stuff, before I found this Verdun Connections site,(Thanks Maggie Btw:)

Many other community's can be searched as well, like the Point (St Charles)
etc etc ......
ps: even the link in the above comment box still works and takes you directly to the source: -Les
