It is a nice building & in keeping with tradition too,.........the bank manager was probably all tanked up with his own bottle of scotch or something & now the common folk can get soused too........

I guess it was only a matter of time before Verdun would catch up to the areas around them and have such an institution.

Basically nothing has changed as customers still have to buy lunch with their beer, the same as at other restaurants in Verdun. The only difference is that beer will be brewed on site. Installing a brewery is very costly and requires a lot of space and a large clientele must be anticipated in order to justify the investment, specially since the owners already have a mini-brewery in Montreal, however, I suppose they know what they are doing. Apparently there are still technical and legal problems to be solved before the mini-brasserie opens.
