Current Movies
Check out the 2004 remake, or rent the original 1962 of 'The Machurian
Candidate' if you will.
The first one 1962 has a more realistic Capt. Marco (Frank Sanatra)
than the remake (Denzel Washington) although D.W. is always great.
1962 enemy in M.C.-- communists.
2004 enemy in M.C. -- capitalists.
Changing times. Oh well.

'The Borne Supremacy'. I watch it tonight and was a little disappointed
mainly because I was hoping it would be similar to the 'Borne Identity'
which I liked very much. The sequel used the shaky camera way too much,
and hundreds of one-second burry shots coupled with a loud audio mix to
convey fast pace action, which usually causes me to lose interest in
the story for a time. Great car chase scene in Russia. If you love
action see this one. I'm a movie freak no doubt and own 200+ DVDs, so I
apologize if I'm coming across like a amateur movie critic.
Bill. Thanks for the info on "The Bourne Supremacy". I am a movie buff also. More so on the early films from the 30's to the 70's. I stopped going to the movies, or renting movies, because most of them are nothing but trash, mainly because of the language that is being used. I will try watching them on TV, because I can always change the channel. Winston

I saw 'The Anchorman' last week. It was irreverent, moronic, absolutely
mindless, and I loved it. If you like the 3 Stooges you'll like this. I
suppose that will eliminate most the lady folk. They have much better
taste.
I agree with you Winston. The trash which is released to the kids today
is sad. Even in this film they had to put a 10 second scene where Bill
Ferrell, although fully clothed, obviously had an erection in front of
Christine Applegate. Although there were lots of laughs in the theater
throughout the movie, no one laughed at this. Embarrassing, because of
the young kids in the row in front of me.
I'm sure they'll clean it up for TV.
Anyway, I remember the movie theaters on Wellington Street. I seldom
could afford to go but I did see 'Love Me tender' at the Savoy. I had
to walk out early because my girl at the time, and her best friend
suddenly began screaming at Elvis. What a shock!
Be well,
Bill
