C B BUDDYS ?
Roy W here , do any of you remember XM52 113 & 116 ? I used to skip down to the islands off Florida . No sh## I did . I knew several of the guys in Verdun.
Hi Roy, Are you familiar with any of these #'s Xm52-3025, Xm52-663, or Xm52-5055 all of these were from bases on 3rd avenue in Verdun. 3025 was the last #er's that I held in the 70's with the handle of The Pirate. I done a lot of skip back then on Sunday mornings. Dannyb--
HEY DANNY DO U REMEMBER THE NAMES OF THE CB CLUBS FROM VERDUN AND THE POINT,LIKE CLUB 28,VERDUN RADIO CLUB AND OUR CB CLUB.MY DADS HANDLE WAS BEACHBUM RING A BELL BIM
Hi Bim, I wasn't much into the CB clubs I was more of a bug than anything. I do remember some people setting up the REACT club, but I can't seem to remember what it stood for. I also remember them setting up channel 9 as the official emergency channel. Alan Archi might remember the name of the clubs back then. Now I'm racking my brain over this. Dannyb
The only clubs I was aware of were REACT & METRO. Not sure of exactly REACT stood for, but I was a member of METRO. It was formed just before Expo '67 opened and stood for "Montreal Emergency Tourist Radio Organization"... Now, hows that for shaking the cobwebs out! Alan aka Little Brother!
Hi Al, Nothing like a memory jog. Now did you remember that because of the club or because of Expo 67. Take a look at The Point site today, my Grandmother's picture is posted for her 102nd birthday today. Now just think about what changes her eyes have seen over 102 years. My mother is in the picture also. Dannyb
