Ghost of Griffintown Past.

Ghost of Griffintown Past

Arial

This was the year that a couple of hundred people gathered at William
and Murray to await the appearance of Mary's ghost. Alas she didn't
come. But her story became the launching ground for a book by Alan
Hustak called "The Ghost of Griffintown: The True Story of the Murder
of Mary Gallagher".

This was also the year that we mourn the passing of Annie Wilson. She
was a great example of the love that many people have about their
years in Griffintown.

There weren't any public screenings or broadcasts of the documentary
in 2005. Maybe in 2006 there will be a few. Anybody interested in
organizing one?

There was one screening for a class at Vanier College. A girl who came
from a small town in Greece was smiling throughout the viewing. She
said it reminded her so much of home.

If you are looking for gift ideas, remember the book and video. Call
or visit the website to obtain the order form.

Missing girl and baby in Springfield. CROSS POST

This is from a girl in my group.

Please Please PLEASE...cross post this on any and EVERY board!!!!

My 18 yr old sister in law, and her 10 month old baby girl are missing.  They were last heard from on Thanksgiving night (10pm).  They were last seen in Springfield MO, but could literally be anywhere by now.  We have filed a missing person report, but Im asking for everyone to keep a look out.  They have no known vechicle, so may be with someone else.  PLEASE keep a look out for these two.  We just want to know they are safe.  I have MANY MANY more pictures, if you need them.  Please just let me know.  Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers!!!

Winter is on its way

It is that time of year again. When the snow and winds are blowing, and it is bitter cold, and you are really really hungry!!!!!  Don't forget everyones favorite place. The Donner Party Family Cafe. There is plenty for everyone. AND please, pretty please, I don't want anyone begging or saying; "Can I have a leg, please?" Winston Allison

Q U E B E C

We all know how to spell Quebec, but how do we pronounce it?

I can think of three different ways I have heard it pronounced:

1) Kay bec
2) Cue bec
3) Kwee bec

Of course I have also heard to hatcheted other ways as well.  Often butchered down in that country that we're not supposed to mention here (where Dubya lives), but also from some foreigners (where Dubya doesn't live).

Cheers
