Internet Banking Scams
Hi everybody: This morning when I checked my emails I noticed one from saying that my accounts had been accessed by an unauthorized third party. And it goes on to tell me to follow instructions etc.First of all, never heard of this bank, and I deleted the email. I am wondering if anyone else has received the same email as I just did? Would be interested in knowing....Dianne

House Prices 1959
Came across this gem of information. The photo and clipping is from 1957.
I borrowed $90 from my brother-in-law to make the down payment on a house in Chateauguay. The deal was, you paid $50 per month for 3 years, after which time you would move into a new house. Where we were renting in Ville Emard, our landlord advised us he wanted our flat for his daughter who was getting married in 1959. Fortunately we were able to accelerate our new home purchase a year ahead and it was still $10, 950!!!
Lived there until 1977, moved to Mississauga as part of the "exodus"......... The house sold for
$27, 000. The Mississauga house was $54,000!!
Looking back we always wonder how we ever did it!

LaSalle Rd/ Verdun Model School 1948-49
Here's a picture of Miss Martin's Grade 7 class of 1948-49 at LaSalle Road/Verdun Model School. Parents talk today of numbers of students per class!!! This class had 39 boys! AND, Miss Martin was extremely capable of handling all of them. She was one teacher everyone respected, and in retrospect, loved! Anyone who went there should have a good time trying to remember all the names. I haven't been able to tag them all, but I will supply what I can remember in a later posting. Incidentally, I'm the little guy front row far right.
