Church Ave. flooding

Seeing the picture of Church Avenue flooded reminded me of my mom talking about how there used to be a "floating" sidewalk all the way down Church Ave because flooding was not unusual

The good old days

I remember going to my grandmother house on week-ends or summer vacation
playing on the big huge sidewalk on Osborne st. passing by the another day
there they were digging it all up and putting smaller one now that was so great to play on when you were a kid sad to see the change great memories.

Motorcycle Gang

Hi everyone:
Back in the mid-fifties, my brother belonged to a "Motorcycle Gang" in Verdun. There were many of these groups who shared a love for bikes and going on trips to motorcycle gatherings in the US, such as Laconia, NH. They were not gangs like the Hell's Angels et al. The attached picture was taken at their digs in the lane between Richard and Brault, between Verdun and Bannantyne. He would like to know the whereabouts of any or all of the boys. Those already identified are: Front row (l-r): Don Murray, Lyle Day, Jim Walker, Blair Herman. Back row: (l-r): 1st unknown, Ozzie, 2nd unknown, Bob Doherty, Barry Batsford,
Gerry Gouge, Roy Murray, Eric Murray. If you can help put a name to the unknown faces, he would appreciate it.
Thanks from NickO

The Maher Family

They used to live on Egan Street.  Just wondering how they are all doing now since it has been so long since I have seen any of them.
