Ps: This site is monitored but not actively posting on a regular basis. Mostly these are stories & some photos saved from a defunct site known as Verdun Connections which was on MSN Groups initially then on a social network called Multiply.

Now that was a nice trip back in time. Torchy wharf , Woodland Bandstand, as well as the other Verdun landmarks. Very nice to see these places again.Thank you for the memory
Yes life sails by quicker than we think, but somewhere out there are still shoebox's full of old B&W photos and then the old faded colour ones from the old Kodak Instamatics and a few taken with trusty 35mm. Hopefully over time more people will find them and put them out there to share. If I get some sent here I will post them up for everyone to see. It's never too late to start taking pics, take as many as you can of your grandkids, nephwes,nieces, friends family, or places. Because somewhere down the road, people we haven't even met yet,will really appreciate your efforts. Cheers LesF

I wish I had more memories of my early life in Verdun.My family is gone now.
