Mostly these are stories & some photos saved from a defunct site known as Verdun Connections which was on MSN Groups initially then on a social network called Multiply.
I just read Jeanette McDonald's biography which states that she made her Grand Opera Debut at the His Majesy's Theatre in 1943 singing the role of Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet".
The His Majesty's Theater was situated on Guy street just above Ste Catherine street.
Only the old timers will remember these events.
