Last week we posted a short video called Picnic in the Park with Leonard Cohen speaking to his old poet friend in a short NFB film,....and in tonight's online Gazette I read that Mr Cohen has been inducted in to the songwriters hall of fame ,.a recognition by his peers.
..he's come along way since penning Suzanne ( I said penning.......hahahahaha)

NEW YORK — Canadian music icon Leonard Cohen was among the inductees into the Songwriters Hall of Fame Thursday night, adding another accolade to the gravel-voiced singer's decorated career.
Cohen, along with fellow Canadian David Foster and other artists — including Jackie DeShannon, Verdine White, Johnny Mandel, Maurice White, Philip Bailey, Al McKay and Larry Dunn — were inducted at an event at New York's Marriott Marquis Hotel.
Bob Marley, Laura Nyro, Sunny Skylar, Jesse Stone, Tom Adair and Matt Dennis were posthumously inducted Thursday.
In addition to new inductees, individual awards were also handed out Thursday, with Paul Simon, Phil Collins and Taylor Swift among those honoured.

I've heard many versions of Cohen's 'Hallelujah' here's a couple of them:

.........I'm adding this bit right now ,.I tried to find a K.D.Lang version when she sang at the Winter Olympics Ceremony, but the thieving _ ricks at the Olympic Comitee won't allow the actual performance ,other than still photo,and the song playing... ( Btw: the 'P' is silent just like in Psalm for the above description of VANOC,
