Dawes Black Horse Ale

These are the types of ads that the breweries used in the early thirties. Dawes Brewery had a different catoon each week in the Verdun Guardian.

Here's the location of the old Dawes Brewery & I believe ,if I'm not mistaken that there is a Museum set up in this old building on St Joseph in Lachine........ 2901, boulevard Saint-Joseph La « Dawes Brewery », première industrie à Lachine, a été fondée en 1811 par Thomas A. Dawes. Have Fun & Remember Verdun

Well this is not the Museum ,but I do think there is a museum of sorts in Lachine somewhere that honours Dawes history, As for their old original stone building , it now is being used as a Theatre............................................. Pavillon de l’Entrepôt – Theatre 2901 boulevard Saint-Joseph Formerly known as the Dawes Brewery’s stone warehouse, this newly renovated historical building has found a new purpose and become a theatre. With its 320 seats, it envelops spectators in a warm and intimate atmosphere while providing exceptional staging and sound quality. Get our calendar right now! Open year-round depending on the event schedule.  514-634-3471, extension 302                                                                            HF&RV
