If Your Goin-to Cohen

After last week’s announcement that Leonard Cohen would perform at the Bell Centre Nov. 28, the ticket details have now been announced by Evenko, the promoter of the concert.

Tickets, priced between $40 and a punishing $267.25, go  on sale Saturday, May 12 at 10 a.m. There is a limit of eight tickets per person. If they sell out as quickly as many are anticipating, the only salvation for disappointed Cohen fans will be the hope of a second show.

Cohen’s last Montreal appearance was a three-night stand at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier of Place des Arts in 2008, at the outset of what is looking more and more like his answer to Bob Dylan’s never-ending tour. Since then, Cohen has released the live albums Live In London and Songs From the Road, as well as this year’s studio album Old Ideas. All have been critically-acclaimed, with Old Ideas also becoming Cohen’s highest-charting album in the United States, reaching No. 3.
