Royal Albert Bridge (Montréal) An illustration of the proposed Royal Albert Bridge, taken from Scientific American supplement, published in New-York, March 25th, 1876. This bridge was never built. Around the same location, however, and around 1924, a quite different bridge was built... And in 1934, it was named ... Jacques-Cartier Bridge.
