Here is an article written by Rohinton Ghandi on the Old Stone House for the Local newspaper The Suburban wich I think VC members will enjoy reading. Of course he is referring to the Maison Nivard de Saint Dizier of wich I have spoken about many times and wich was built in 1710 and is one of the oldest houses in Montreal and wich was completely renovated at a cost of one and a quarter million dollars and will be open as a museum possibly this fall:

I remember the Old Stone House. Back in my scouting days in the 50's I attended a Bronze Arrowhead Course for Patrol Leaders that was held on the second floor of that building. At the time I was with the Bronx Park Troop and there were other Patrol Leaders from my troop, as well as others from Crawford Park and Verdun in attendance. I still have my certificate, dated September 13th 1954 and the actual Bronze Arrowhead that was handed out on completion of the course. Fond memories.

i read the story and it was so beautifully written. It was also sad, knowing the joy behind the stone walls has ended for good. Thanks for posting.
