GOOD EATING

most important to write is a home cooked meal
is the best.
eating in restaurants most of my life, you get
to know whats going on.
i'm sick of restaurants, i enjoy a hotdog and frie
than go to montanas?
its not the cost, its not home made?
at times i hear someone complain about
home made meal at home?
today, most people go to restaurants
they brainwashed the new generation
to eat at restaurants, they just keep
franchising these garbage eating places?
yes they have very few good restaurants
you have to phone to get a reserved table
they put 30 tables in a little room
that you can't move your arm or you may hit
the person, its a job just to move from
the table to the washroom, there's only
one washroom?
i've eaten at all of them, and you just can't beat
that home cooked meal at home.
i like to know which restaurant you like
and i'll see if i was there and give you my thoughts.

  1. I agree with you, sometimes the better meals are at home. The prices in the restaurants sometimes are scary.  For a family of three  a breakfast at Denny's   can be $24.00      Can you image even at todays prices how many packages of eggs, bacon and potatoes and bread you could buy for that 24.00   and how many people you could feed. It is nice to make a change regardless, to have someone do the cooking for you.   I found  Woodland Pizza was a good place to eat.  Good prices  good food, variety, clean,  a little bit crowded but better than some places. Chalet BBQ was another favourite - noisy - somewhat rushed but always good. Laurie

  2. What about Crescendo's on the boardwalk at approximately Osborne Avenue. We ate there while in Montreal last summer - took my sister it was very relaxing people watching and being that close to the water. Food wasnt bad either.

  5. We missed that restaurant the first drive by too but it is RIGHT on the water and I think it is Osborne that is the nearest street to the entrance and there is parking in their lot - drive slowly and you will find it. Their patio overlooks the path for rollerblades and bikes etc.

  12. The restaurant is shown in my photo album from the 25 year reunion . It is actually located at Desmarchias, not Osborne and Lasalle Blvd. The food is good and the price range really isn't that bad. My husband is actually going there right now with a friend to have breakfast...which is good there by the way . Donna

  14. I graduated in 1981. If your contact name with 1954 is your birth year then I was born in 1964 and we are 10 years apart. My mother was secreatry at VHS ( and also other schools during various years so maybe that's where you heard the last name. Also I has a sister who was a year older named Joanne.D
