The PowerHouse Dam

Did that plenty of times,.when it was in a state of ruin,.....and the test was to walk over the tall yellow beams that stood above the last two sections of the Dam,.......and then know the route across the last few feet of floating logs trapped on the high side of the dam,.....
Also scale down the bricks ,into the old building,....Amazing more people didn't get hurt over there,..........(or getting over to the island) wasn't known as Black Bank ?.............  once they filled it in ,it just wasn't the same,.Although it was always neat to checkout the rapids from that vantage point,....I understand it's a bird sanctuary now?
.....I took this shot in the early 70's at the end of Island....(nearest Verdun side),.......the neat thing is George McCrae took this next shot about two years ago,..it looks very similar:

....a very similar shot taken in roughly the same location,..........
                     ......Those Were the Days......
