I agree Connie we always said losers weepers. I also remember "no bits no bites no appetites" cant remember what we used to say to share. We had a back gallery and a front verandah. Our front parlour was double it had an arch separating the back half - great for big parties.
ReplyDeleteAnyone remember this phrase, "I'll be back in two shakes of a lamb's tail." My parents used it and out of the blue I used it today and it brought back that memory. Haven't heard it or used it in years. Gary Saanich, BC
ReplyDeleteMy mom always used "As slow as the second coming of Christ." or when describing a scary situation she would say " that gave me the willies". It is somehow comforting remembering these expressions......kind of keeps their memory around. And every once in a while I have found myself using them also.
