  3. There's nothing like living here in Ontari-ari-ari-o and being a Habs fan! I have one of those t-shirts with the Habs logo that says "This is your Brain". Then comes the Leafs logo that says, "This is your Brain on Drugs"! Anytime I feel like getting into a conversation with people at the mall I wear it. Draws the Leafs fans like flies. Then I remind them the last time the Leafs won the Stanley Cup, hockey games were shown in black & white! FUN! FUN! FUN!   Art

  5. I too am a habs fan. Like bubbacut says, who born in Montreal isn't. I get some awful looks from the Canuck fans when they are playing montreal and I seem to be the only one cheering for the habs.

  8. Bubbacut and Art,   I know both you guys are true Maple Leaf fans but you are afraid to admit it because you come from Verdun. Don't be ashamed you live in Toronto so the Leafs are now your home team and you should be very proud especially when most of the players are your age. Your cheer I can hear it in London Ontario "Go Leafs Go".   Your friend Reggie Paine.   Go Wings Go

  13. HOCKEY STUFF!
Ya gotta love the reasoning ! Custody Battle Ruling:   A seven year old boy from Toronto was at the centre of a courtroom drama in an Ontario Superior Courthouse  this morning when he challenged a court ruling over who should have  legal custody of the juvenile. The boy has a history of being beaten repeatedly by both parents and the judge had previously awarded custody to  the boy's aunt.   The boy confirmed that his aunt beat him more than  his parents and refused to live there. When the judge then suggested  that he be placed with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they beat him more severely  than anyone. The judge, in an unprecendented ruling,  dramatically allowed the boy, in spite of his youth  and obvious inexperience, to make his own choice as to who should have legal guardianship over him.   In front of a packed and cheering courtroom  this morning, custody was subsequently granted to the TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS as the boy  stated his firm belief that they are, in point of fact, not capable  of beating anyone.

  15. Bob, Toronto Make Beliefs, good one. I like it. Anyone remember the Make Believe Ballroom Show on CJAD? I think it came on right after Club 800. I can still hear the theme son. It's make belive ball room time, put all your cares away. It was a pretty good program with great music. I remember the Toronto Maple leafs & Detroit Red Wings as being tought teams in those days. Every time Gordie Howe got the puck a big "boooo" would be heard from the fans at the Forum. Man, I hated Gordie Howe back then, today I love him. Time changes a lot of things. Walter

  17. Bob, I'm certain you're right. Remember Gorgie playing at age 50 in the World Hockey League? He grew up dirt poor out West & then made it to the top. A really great success story & an amazing guy. Walter

  20. Gordie Howe's wife is very ill with an incurable brain problem, and he is spending all his time taking care of her, that is why he is being seen or heard from. It is what you would expect from him, as  great a human being as he was a hockey player.   Gordo
