School's Back

    My kids started last thursday, Aug 25th. This is to accommodate the athletes for the winter games in February. The kids will get a few extra days off then so the schools can be used for lodging. My kids are off school all this week though with chicken pox. I sure wish they had been immunized. They are such a pain! (not the kids, the pox)

    Grandkids don't start sckool in Nova Scotia until Sept 7.Does anyone else find that this summer flew by or is it just old age creeping in. Patsy

    Hi Patsy:

    My second grandkid starts this year....where do the days, weeks, months, years go? I want to think time passes so quickly is because we are so busy we don't notice that time is going by! ..As my 8 year old grandson says..."Gran, you're a real happenin' person!". My daughter says she can't wait for both to start school next week. I guess all young mothers probably feel the same right about now, but I bet there will be a few tears shed as the babes head off on their first day, oh I remember that day very well!.....Dianne from Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia

    I find the school vacation is to long in summer my daughter only
    start kindergarden September 3 which is Friday and then she
    off Monday cause of Labor Day Sept.6 Why didn't they say to
    start Sept 7 crazy.
