  1. Guy5479,   I got a real chuckle looking at your pics taken this past Saturday.  What's all that darn white stuff on the street?  Sorry, I'll write 500 times "I shouldn't tease people about snow.  I shouldn't tease people about snow."  Here's wishing you sunshine, flowers and summer right around the corner.

  2. Hey mom, some of us actually like the snow beneath our feet! Here's hoping that we have yet a few more weeks of the blessed white stuff! It's just not canajun to be tending outside gardens in march anyway! LOL

  3. Hi MaggieMcK,   Point well taken.  I agree, there should be snow where snow is expected.  Out here this season was really a bust...no skiing at our local resort Mount Washington. This hurts a lot of people who work in the industry...and the economy.   But.....(whispering) I'm glad it's spring out here. Cheers, Linda

  7. Good Morning All! Speaking of Food, and yes Muir's had lots of good stuff.
I am wondering if anyone remembers what the mini hamburgers were called, and
where they were sold. A friend had some when back east with an old boyfriend
    and is trying to remember.

    Thanks Tiny Tina

  8. Thanks Steve for message. If you still want Muir's Meatpies, you can get them in Maxville Ont.,halfway between Ottawa and Montreal on highway 417. My sister Cheryl and husband Ron Latimer (also from Verdun), with the watchful approval of my parents, have their own place on Main Street, and make great Meatpies. Regards Eddie

  10. I play the Van Kleek hill food fare every year and was disapointed when Muirs didn't show. It's the time I stock up with meat pies and brodies. I brought my coolers for nothing. I pray they show up this year.  I need my fix. A lot of people in Montreal depend on me.LOL At least we still have smoke meat.   Barry

  14. Eddie, thank you so much for posting those photos from the BBQ in Calgary. You sure caught the "essence of McKiernon". Did I tell you how great those cakes were? I was thrilled to have a genuine "Muir's" Black Forest Cake. (not only one either) What a great surprise. It was great seeing you and Kathy again too!
