Signs of the Times (in this case Expo67)

Everyone learned quickly to capitalize on the coming world fair,Marketing your firm using the Expo67 theme filled newspapers daily . Here is a bunch of old newspaper ads .maybe you will recall seeing all or many of these ads:

Hmmm , Yea we bought a lot of this stuff..........lol   
 The only Champagne we would have ever had,(or wanted at that time) would have been Canada Dry------

  2. Oddly enough ,Piazza Tomasso did not include any contact info in their ad.Now i know most Montrealer's would easily have known where the restaurant was,however ,the ad is directed at visitors to 'Host their Hosts' ....not even a phone number let alone an address in the ad.

  5. ..and of course the CAN- A - DA song by Bobby Gimby ,......had to be the most recognized advertisement for Expo 67.



    Funny thing is I think I have the 45 still..............hahahaha HF&RV - Les

    Now you what's really scary boys & girls,.that was Canada's 100th anniversary of Confederation,.well it's only 5 more years until the 150th,
    does that make you feel a little older....(Glenn that doesn't mean just you)-lol

  6. How about this, long before Miss Piggy & Kermit the Frog were an Item,or any of the Muppetts were even in existence,.a young Jim Henson (& Raymond Scott) collaborated to make & produce this very short film for Expo 67.......
