Mostly these are stories & some photos saved from a defunct site known as Verdun Connections which was on MSN Groups initially then on a social network called Multiply.
I remember that very well, there was a set of 'rollers' in the dead center of the bridge to let you know where trhe lanes were,we used to try & have the tires roll over them and they would rattle...I liked that bridge, & the approach to it off of Bridge street was very narrow at one time,....I posted some pictures years ago of this bridge,if I come across them I will repost them. hf&rv

ReplyDeleteI was ok as long as I was driving. My father's tires would hit the side and he would still travel 60 miles per hour. I wouldn't travel with him if we had to take that bridge.

ReplyDeleteI will be taking that bridge on Wednesday because there is so much traffic on the Champlain and you never know when the Champlain will give out.LOL
