THANKS for stopping by, I do my best to acknowledge when someone leaves a comment,you do not have to be a member here & everyone is welcome. Ps: This site is monitored but not actively posting on a regular basis. Mostly these are stories & some photos saved from a defunct site known as Verdun Connections which was on MSN Groups initially then on a social network called Multiply.
Can you give us any more information on these two people? Approximate age, where they lived, any siblings that you can recall?
ReplyDeletemarion ryan and i grad. vch 1962, marion lived rolland and champlain st. lorraine had a sister maureen, lived in same area as marion, both girls were straight A students, and good friends of mine, i lost contact after school when i started to work at nortel, i am hoping through this chain someone will know where they are. thanks maggie, carolyn
ReplyDeleteI know where Marion Ryan is. She is married and living in Plano Texas, she has one son an a grandaughter. The other person I don't know. Hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn, My full name is Pat Perrotte and I was a friend of Marion's after she left school... in fact I was one of her bridesmaids ... Now I know there was 2 Marion Ryans' she lived on Brault Ave. and had a older sister named Doreen is this the same person you're lookung for? I lived on Osborne Ave and have a brother David. I don't think I know you but, I'm bad with names. Just one more thing did you know Billy Wishnousky? He married Susan Ducharme ( I think that was her last name ) well he passed away in August from a massive heart attack ... they were married over 40 years.

ReplyDeleteYes, I guess it's not the same person as I never heard her mention Lorraine Dillon. My brother lives in Edmonton and I live in Markham,On. I went to VHS so that's why we don't know each other but, it was nice talking to someone from "Good Old Verdun".

Just wonder if Lorraine knew a Cy Dillion his wife was name Claire Dillion from Verdun..Was A member of the Crawfordpark Legion..Think he would be in his late 70's

Sure did John ... I lived at 542 Osborne Ave., maybe you won't remember me , but I was the girl that was always breaking bones. I'm going to throw some names out to you .... did you know the Fergusons' or Brian Mitchell, Don Harvey or Bruce Dutton, they all lived on Osborne

with black hair and very dark eyes and had a "Beauty spot" on my left cheek just
under my left eye ... of course everybody used to tell me it was a fake.
My brother name is Dave Perrotte, he now lives in Edmonton and I live in
Markham, On. and all I have is a very old cat, we're aging gracefully
together.
Dave and Bruce were very good
friends.

ReplyDeletePat and John, good afternoon to you both! Do either of you remember these people I used to hang around with back in the late 50s? All of them lived on your street: Geraldine and Cecilia Currie, Diane Belleville (I'm doubtful of her last name), Ken Nickolson, and Richard Mitchell. If I'm not mistaken, Diane was best friends with Geraldine, who had a younger brother, Robert. Diane also had a younger brother, who was a junior black belt in judo. Both Geraldine and Cecilia attended a Catholic high school in Pointe St-Charles. The last time I saw Diane was in LaSalle, in the late 60s or early 70s, when I was married and living on 31st Avenue. I believe that Geraldine and her sister live in Toronto. In a school here in LaSalle, I had met someone in the 90s who said that her brother was married to Cecilia. Regards, Jack
ReplyDeleteHi Theomer, I saw your note on the board and I am curious to know of Diane Belleville. I new her from St Willibrords school an often wondered what became of her and where she lives. I also new Heather Mc Dowell that you once mentioned, she lived on Bannantyne near 1st ave. I will keep watch to see of any information of these two girls.
