  7. metalman Iknow I know I know that Woodland has the
best pizza. Can you still watch them making pizza at the front window? I used to
hold my daughter up in my arms so she could see them throwing the dough up in
    the air.
I think the pizza guy's put on a show just for
    her.
The last time I was in Verdun I went to Manganions
for  Roast Beef and then went back to my friend's house and we ordered a
Woodland Pizza. The next day I went up to the main walked the whole street first
stop was the Montreal pool room for hot dog and later went to Swartz's for smoke
meat. My god that's all we did was eat!
I am planning on going back this summer , I'm not
sure when yet , however I think it's best to go during Jazz Fest. Do you know
when that is? I'd like to bring some friend's from North Bay who have never been
to Montreal . I have a new border coming to live with me who is a trucker and
goes to Montreal alot so we will jump in with him. I just can't
    wait.
I'd like to hook up with some of you folks from
this site maybe do the tour together! I think that would be
    awesome!

next time i'll get that picture of woodland pizza
front window show, if its still there for you.
in the summer season i go to montreal
every weekend, action all the time
old montreal is another place of shows
art, lots of action there, just walking
around gives you a great time to see
    the people.
what i like is starting from atwater
and walking along st cathrine to st denis.
    lots of window shopping, cafe's
    restaurants etc.

as for your new border, THE TRUCKER
truckers are hard workers, hardly home
always on the road, rain, snow, ice rain
i always say hi to a trucker,
    without truckers on the road
    delivering the goods.
so say hi to the trucker from me levis

  12. Hi all...yes, Woodland 's food is great whatever you order...but I thought that I would mention another great place..with great food, and very good prices...everything is on the menu...their house sauce ( for subs and pitas) is the best. It if very family like atmosphere everyone knows each other..teens..kids.. and best of all you can go in the afternoon for a coffee and find alot of semi-seniors there like a hang-out....people from Verdun..or people coming in there that have moved out of Verdun, but they know they meet up with someone they know,,very comfortable. It is called BINGO and is on the corner of Verdun and Egan..although the sign might be still down as they are refacing the building...enjoy....later   June

  15. Metalman  That's why a picked a trucker to
share my house. He will be on the road most of the time so I have the place
pretty much to my self ,another bonus to this trucker man is when he is home he
told me that one of the things he likes to do is Bake Pies can you believe
    it!
Plus he told me I can jump in and travel were ever
he goes he will just drop me off. If he dos'ent have a run to Montreal when I
want to go, he knows other guy's who go there.
I'll just get dropped off I better learn how to do
the tuck and roll! Ha Ha .
Hey Maggie sent me the Jazz Fest line up and
there is going to be some excellent shows. I'd better star saving some bucks
    now.
If you go to Montreal every weekend I'd like to be
able to get in touch with you . I hoping a few of us to do that walk you
    talked about!
Take care Metalman Talk to you soon!
    Peace &
    Serenity

  16. Hi Metalman
So they still make the pizza at the front window of
Woodland's great! As for the Trucker I can't wait for him to move in . I like
the idea of having the house to myself  most of the time, cause like you
said he will be on the road alot . But the BONUS of this Trucker man is
that he told me that when he is home his past time is to bake pie's!!! Can you
    believe it!
I got a message from Maggie McK of the posting of
the jazz fest there is a great line up of shows  this year . I am
going to try and plan my trip back home around it June 28th or so.
My new Trucker man goes to Montreal alot and if he
isn't going then He said he will find another trucker who is.They can just drop
me off . I had better learn how to do the tuck and roll thing! ha
    ha.
It would be great to be able to get some other
member of this site to plan a trip around the same time, so we could all do
that walk you talked avout together! What a Hoot that would be.
I am having all the services cut off for the
computer on April first , I hope to have access at the Libary for this
    site.
If you Email me at lyetman7@cogeco.com I'll pass you my phone
number so we could stay in touch. Maybe I could hook up to other member's around
    your area!
    Peace
    Lynn
