Hello

Hi Everyone, I am new here, my name is Rosemary, but everyone calls me Rosie, and I would like you all to call
me that.  You all seem to be a great bunch of people, I am sure I will enjoy myself here, and hopefully a few memories will be jogged.

  2. Hi Rosie.....Welcome!!!   Tell us something about yourself? Where in Verdun did you hail from? I am actually from Cote St Paul but my husband was born and brought up in Verdun. You'll meet many people here from both sides of the aqueduct!   dianne

  3. Hi Dianne and Sandy,   Thanks, I am sure I will enjoy myself here.  I lived on Rielle ave in Verdun, inbetween Wellington and Verdun ave. I have many good memories of living in Verdun, many years ago. Those memories stick with you forever.   Rosie

  5. Hi Rosie,   Were you of school age when you lived in Verdun?  If so, what schools did you attend?  Lots of memories of schools on here.

  6. I lived in Verdun from the time I was born to grade 4, Bannantyne School, then we moved to LaSalle, in 1947 , I then attended George Esplin School, and Lachine High School. I married and moved to Pierrefonds, and then moved to Ontario where I am now, I live in the Ottawa Valley. in a little town called Ingleside. I have 3 children all married and 4 grandchildren, which are the joy of my life.   Rosie

  7. Welcome Rosie, My grandfather, aunt, uncle and 2 cousins lived at 432 Rielle from about 1944 until the late 60's.  I grew up in Cote St. Paul but we were very close to our relatives on Rielle and Willibrord and visited back and forth often.  We spent 28 years in Edmonton, 2 years in Nova Scotia and now live near Wellington, ON, have 2 children and looking forward to the second grandchild in April.   Verdun Connections is a great group.
