MSN Grrrrr!

Now MSN tells my I cannot sign in because someone else is using my
email address. Is MSN psychotic?

  1. I contacted MSN with my bitch and moan, but do not feel I'll be
helped in any productive way. The only way I can post now will be the
old way I used to use. Send an email to VC with the subject heading
of the post I'm responding to -- such as what I am doing now.

  2. Biking 2006,.........or SecondAve,........keep trying to post normally,.and always make sure you are signed in,.........because it's usually a minor glitch that stops us from posting ,or in a lot of cases it's just a fact of life I guess, where  MSN is concerned nothing seems to work quite right,......... Bear with us & it,....... and I'm sure you'll be Ok ,........You've been around for years and can see that ,generally we see things return to normal, after a wait period ,.........................So hang in there ,......and know it's not  intential, but rather a glitch we can overcome............Remember if we can see your message it will be posted..............

  3. Les when I hit the 'Reply' button I'm sent to the sign in page within
which they do not recognize me. Actually I discovered this earlier
today when I was going to ask you to post your back yard photos in a
    different format.

    Here how it works now:

I bring up my email server, Mac Mail. I bring up a blank email and
type in MSN Grrrrr! in the subject box. I then mail it to
    VerdunConnections@groups.msn.com.

This allows me to post only. No Photo attachments or replies can be
done, but you may be right and this will be all a bad dream by tomorrow.

  4. I've been having the same problem for months and finally got it straightened out just this morning.  Go to Internet Explorer-tools-internet options-privacy-advanced and click on allow cookies.  It worked for me and hope it works for you.  Maureen

  6. My handle has been Second Avenue, and I was never able to sign in
with it for at least 3 years. I was a member in good standing with
V.C. I could post by email only.

Some how by magic I signed up using another email address last year
with a new Mac computer with an Intel chip plus a new handle
Biking2006, and amazingly I was able to do what you guys have been
doing -- post photos and use the reply button.

Now I'm back to square one for no apparent reason. MSN 'contact us'
were of no help. I think it was Linda or Sandy who requested a
picture of my neck of the woods, but alas I cannot. Oh well so be it.

As long as I can post and read I'm totally good, but I must say MSN
sucks bad. Too huge I think.
    Much aloha,

    Bill Cooper (Second Avenue/Biking2006).

  10. Sandy. What pray tell could you possibly mean? `I swear, I am as innocent as the fresh driven snow. In the words of John Wayne; "A man's gotta do, what a man's gotta do!" Words to live by, that's for sure.

  13. The title of this thread echoes exactly how I felt the past couple of days,........i could not 'Sign In' at all,......I could access the site & read the posts ,but I couldn't respond...............very Frustrating,.......I did However write (or post) a message directly to MSN,..but I suspect it will do nothing ,.( and I told them as much)............hahahahaha So if I've missed responding to anyone ,...then I apologize,......and will try to catch up on the reading the rest of the posts,..... I couldn't even 'Sign In' when I was Downtown here the other day,...either, Did any of our other Victoria/or VanIsland members have any of these same problems.??

  14. Yup, same problems up island.  Seems like I hit reply, and a blank screen comes up and says done (?????)...what's done~~~not a reply screen that's for sure.  This morning was sooooooooo slow loading YEECCHHHHH.   I can't help but feel that something big is really happening to MSN, not just changing their servers or whatever BullCrap they're handing out in their responses!   But not being a quitter, it's by hook or crook, I'm obstinate enough to just keep on keeping on.

  15. I'm not in Victoria but the last couple of days have been very slow and frustrating in MSN Groups. Seems okay for now.

  16. Ok MaggieMck,.....I could see others posting,.but I could not get it to operate successfully,....so I thought it may have been just this area,...but then I would see Gary(Arbutus) with a post,...and Mom,...and others,..So I thought it was just me..........hahahahaha

  17. Yeah Les, we were trying to put a "gag" on you! Mwaaahahahahahahah!

  18. Well, I only have dial-up, and everything is always slow. But when mine is slow....it is really slow. I am not going to complain tho. If we didn't have this MSN site, we would not be enjoying Verdun Connections at all. I should talk about patience......because I am the least patient of anyone I know, or pretty close to it!!!! Happy Saturday everyone. Winston Allison

  19. Well I have had some detractors over the years.........hahahahaha   Reminds me of the Comedian who used to say that he took the advice of an old Comic before him that said "Always , Leave your audience Happy..------Even if you have to 'Leave' them to Do it".............hahahahahaha

  20. Les. Being slow is one thing, but not even being able to sign in......GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. Wow that horse looks dead never mind sleeping!  Is that what's called "flogging a dead horse".  I never knew what that expression meant.

    ReplyDelete
  26. No they'd have to be the other way around for that..............hahahahahah maybe he's dead-drunk...........................

  27. Think it was monkey-business they were up to?  Oh no, they're horses, I fogot.  Guess the old mare ain't what she used to be, or is she?  She's probably better, yeah, older is better.  But not slower, eh Winston.

  33. Anyone Remember Grandma Molasses,............I think there was a caron of the stuff in every kitchen cupboard,....it was Green & White,...and was rarely ever used (it lasted for years),...and only if youe were out of Real Maple Syrup would you even try the stuff,........hahahahaha  You had to pry the top open,as the stuff was so sticky.......... I have mentioned it in this thread,as the MSN service is what made me think of the stuff.....................hahahahahah

    ReplyDelete
  34. Les   I do too remember  Grandma
Molasses some times we would dip our bread into it. My mom had a great sense of
humor when we were kid's and we asked what was for lunch she'd say bread and
pull it, or soup and get out! She would say it so fast I thought it actually was
a meal. Some of the crazy stuff they said to us. I too use say those things to
my daughter. She has a good laugh over over it.
