chat-where's everyboby ?

went into chat last night and only Maggie and i were there. Maggie asked for any suggestions to make it lively. How about some suggestions as to time day etc. patsy ginn ernst

    I went to chat last night, and didn't "see" anyone. What time? People should leave a message saying they will be going into the chat area, so come on in if you're around. By the way...I'm going to try that right now......

    Maybe a chat schedule can be set up at certain times and days, that way anybody that wants to chat could meet at prescribed times.   I have a site that some of my old shipmates meet on, I posted the times that the site is manned and we ocassionally get several members chatting.   Take a look at the home page of the USS Mills ~ DER 383   Best Regards to All, Bob Gaboury

    Hi Patsy, Tried to log into chat last nite.  Being technically challenged, I couldn't figure out how.  Tried again tonite.  Managed to log on....and actually found Bob Pilon in there.   He suggested just keep on going in and see if anyone's in there.   Cheers, Linda

    I have posted a time but it is very hard for me to chat in "verdun time" so it would be better if someone in verdun would suggest a time and be there. It isn't likely that I can commit to any time before 10:30 pm verdun time. I don't want to post a time and have everyone popping into an empty room. I plan to be in the chat room tonight (Thursday) at about 10:00 Verdun Time.

    I was planning on making it to the chat room last night, but when the wife arrived home, she quickly reminded me that we had to be in class by 6pm PST.   So off we went to our new pottry class, last night was the first night at the potters wheel.     I believe every night at 8 pm  MOntreal time , we should make an effort to go into chat, even if we only make it once in a while,  so lets try for the month of February  8 pm   each and every night , might become a habit  who knows , JImmy

    I was there, chat only works when there are 2 or more there though. Anyone have a suggestion for a better time? I know that 8 o'clock Verdun time is a little early for me. 10 o'clock would be better for me until the time change anyway.

    I'm bumping this subject back to the top for the benefit of newer members asking about chat.  As someone has suggested (sorry forgot the name) I will be opening a new window only for the VC Chat Room and then browsing on a different window.  If anyone wants to chat I'm usually here between:   5:30 to 8:00 AM  daily,  Verdun Time   As for the Newbie's or the shy types you don't need to be an expert typist either.  Just practice & patience will get you there and I'll try and help you as much as I can. Remember we all started out the same way.   Mac               HF & RV
