Anyone seen Danny Reid ?

Does anyone remember Danny Reid?  he used to live in Ville Emard but played in a band that played at the Dawson's Club dances.  He played there around the same time Billy Lane played with a band there.  Also, does anyone remember Scotty Porter?

    Hi Lorna:   Scotty Porter passed away about 15 years ago, in a car accident I think. He was a world class highland dancer and I believe that he actually won a world championship. Honest Ed's restaurent in Toronto has always had pictures of entertainment celebrities on the walls.A number of years ago I was at a table and right there before me was a picture of Scotty in full costume.   Gord Gibbons

    Hi Gord......so sorry to hear about Scotty....I went all through school with him.  I remember when he was just a little fella....he was doing highland dancing even then.   Lorna Cornwall, Ont.

    Hi, I do remember Donna Reid from VHS. I think the year was from Sept 57 to June 58....she may have been in grade 9 at that time.
    Perhaps they are related?

    Danny played Guitar in our band, "Rythem Aires". I was drums, Joey Blanch was vocal/Piano. We practised at Dawsons in exchange for doing some Sat night dances. I dated Bev Brisco(VCH)....I still think of her. I wish I knew where she was. Those were the days wern't they. I never thought they would be so precious. Norm

    Hi, "Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end....." and they haven't.  We are still talking and reminiscing about them even today.   Cheers

    photos and posting them here. Just a thought.
