Problem

Les,

I keep getting interruptions on my Multiply site and I get the following message:

Internet Explorer has closed this Web page to protect the computer.

Have you had similar complaints from other members ?

No , not yet at least. The only interuptions I have so far experienced with Multiply is the 'site maintenance' message which appears occasionaly for obvious reasons. Try this open Google (or whichever browser you use) & type in Multiply Social Network, that should bring you to the Multiply site, then sign in as you usually do. I can sort of recall having to do that once because it didn't work when I clicked on my usual Multiply or VerdunConnections in my bookmarked sites (or favourite sites) sometimes the quick link can be lost or something interferes with it. Once you see if you can sign in without incident, then just 'bookmark' that link or add it to your favourites.that should work. Failing that you could always go into your 'System Restore' and restore your computer to a date that you know worked properly,it is safe to do those things without worry of losing anything on the computer. Good Luck also Guy if you are having troubles ,then email me,& that way I can try to help, because if you cannot sign in then I don't know if you or I got the message. - Les

JMH Microsoft has nothing to do with Multiply, perhaps in this case you signed up originally using a hotmail account.
My advice go into your Multiply account settings & change from a hotmail email address to something else, this won't affect your Multiply membership.it will just change the address from which you use to sign in here.
Again this is NOT MUltiply Network but rather Microsoft Hotmail or Windows Live,.....I can honestly say I am not impressed with Microsoft hotmail or Windows Live ...
ps: I got an email last week from myself apprently that was SPAM asking me to Click on a link to open the photos ,.....it is just advertising SPAM,but the point is I certainly didn't send it to myself.... lol - Les

We spoke of something similar back here:

Les,
I am still having the same problem. I don't know if it is my computer or Multiply. I will have to investigate.

Guy Try this......at the very top righthand side of this page you are looking at ,there are 4 choices:
'My Account' 'Post' 'Help' 'Logout'
Select & click on 'My Account' once there you will see in the very firsr two choices to 'change my email address'
I would advise that you try changing this email address to another one you have (most people have several) and by changing it,you will then be able to sign in to Multiply without difficulty (hopefully)
Try that if you like & see what happens: - Les
ps; I would avoid using a hotmail or a windows live account,,as I am losing faith in their ability to function properly or securely.....(JMO)
