Ron Piché, Verdun Baseball Player dies

Ron Picher who was born in Verdun and became a professional baseball player, born on the 22nd of may 1935 and died yesterday the 3rd of february 2011. I confess not being a baseball fan but since he was born in Verdun, I posted his photo from today's "La Presse" and baseball record in my album no. 13 wich is my sports section wich I am posting in a slideshow in the comment section

OBITUARY RONALD PICHE "M. Baseball" 1934 - 2011 Passed away in Montreal on February 3, 2011 at the age of seventy-six years. Loving partner of Helene Lucas. He also leaves to mourn his son Luc (Diane), his daughter Christine, his grandchild Jonathan, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. the family will receive condolences at: on Sunday February 6, 2011 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday February 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. The family would like to give special thanks to Oncologist Dr. Margaret Warner for her excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
