I lived in Verdun and LaSalle and was always able to satisfy my cravings for Stilwell's humbugs... and some of their other goodies. However when I left La Belle Province in 1979 I had to rely on my Mother who lives in LaSalle to send me care packages. That arrangement ceased when Stilwell's closed shop. However, with your link, I was able to track down Le Panier in Pointe Claire. Albeit they are currently out of stock, they do get monthly shipments of the humbugs. I have to wait for Monday to see if they can auto-ship me the humbugs every couple of months to satisfy my addiction!!! :-)

Thanks again for the link...

Cheers ! Bob, glad we had the link there..... I had 3 of my 4 sisters worked in Stillwells,so they had their share of the candies & they still love them ..I don't eat them, too hard & stick in the teeth...mind you I don't eat most sweets...... HF&RV

You can also buy them at the Vermont Country Store south of Burlington. Great place with lots of products you can no longer buy anywhere else such as Evening in Paris perfume and all sorts of old candy. You can order online too. http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/Shop

There used to be a neat store in Burlington called the Factory Outlet,we used to go there in the early 60's & then smuggle our take of toys & stuff back to Canada.....hahahaha The store was located by a river & was most like a mill of some sort in the past....it was a huge store & carried everything ,it was an adventure just to go through it, I imagine the prices were like going to a Costco or Wal-Mart nowadays...(except all the stuff was still made in North America).....Cheers HF&RV
