Auld Lang Syne
by Robert Burns

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne
We twa hae run aboot the braes
And pou'd the gowans fine;
we've wander'd mony a weary foot
Sin' auld lang syne
We two hae paidled i' the burn,
Frae mornin' sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin' auld lang syne
And here's a hand, my trusty friend,
And gie's a hand o' thine;
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne

Another year has come and gone. There are always things to regret, and things to be remembered. One thing has become a constant. For this I am very grateful. I am thankful for Verdun Connections and all those that post on here. I am so appreciative of the time that those people who take their precious time to post pictures, remeberances, items of our historical past, and even items that may seem trivial, but in fact are things that touch our souls. The things that invoke great memories of our days of long ago, and our wonderful Verdun. Thanks everyone. May 2010 treat us all with kindness, good health, and love that surpasses all understanding....
