Not too manby months ago a fellow from Victoria BC tried to do the trip in what they refereed to as the backwards way,........he didn't make it & had to be rescued by the Argetninian Air Force ,.he tried & kept a record live via the internet at the time,Imagine the seas you would encounter & being by yourself would be rather formidable in your own mind ,as to whether you could make it...........HF&RV

Also Interesting to hear of the 'Cutty Sark' an old story of the Cutty Sark whiskey with the ship on it's label,as it says on the label "Aged in Oak for 3 Years" and as the story goes ,is that the original Cutty Sark sailed around the world ,using whiskey for ballast,& in those days it took near 3 years to traverse the globe (all over I guess) and so the phrase "aged in oak for 3 times around the world" or something like that........................whatever it's a good story & know sopme of you will use it.......lol
I think I may have seen this show on the knowledge network or PBS ??? not sure ,.but Thanks for posting it ................ Cheers' !!! HF&RV

I think the title is from Gordon Lightfoot's song 'The Ghosts of Cape Horn'. At one time I had every album he made.
