NICKY DEMERS (NICK-VERDUN) & LORNE RICHARDSON....VERDUNITES!

I need help Guys...the daughter of Nicky Demers (Osborne Ave) and Lorne Richardson from Brown Blvd  has contacted me to see if any members remember her parents and if so, any stories to tell!  Lorne was a member of "THE PISTON POPPERS", so if there's any photos on our site, please guide me to them.  Apparently, they met at THE PAV and photos would be great (but I know we've all had trouble finding good photos of THE PAV).  Sharlene, their daughter is organising a surprise 45th Wedding Party for them and after hearing a lifetime of wonderful Verdun stories from Mom & Dad, she would like to add some Verdun touches to help them travel down memory lane and celebrate the occasion!  Thanks...Diane

Diane,
There were many old photos on the Piston Poppers that were posted on the previous VC site. Perhaps Les can reproduce ssome of them. As far as the PAV is is concerned, go to my site and refer to my photo album no. 15 where I have posted 19 photos on the PAV.

Thanks Guy, but I just can't seem to get the image of the interior of the Pav from your photo album. I've successfully reproduced several others, but that first one doesn't seem to work....Diane

Diane,
Check out the blog section as I have posted the inside photo of 1931 of the PAV. I also sosmetimes have trouble reproducing certain photos but I think the original owners of the photo insert a special code to forbid us from reproducing them. Or perhaps the file under wich it was posted is not comnpatible with your computer. I don't realy know the answer but perhaps some computer wizard can explain it.

Hi Diane, click on 'View All' in our Video section & on the page2, there are about 5 Video's of the Piston Poppers,..Guy is right on the old site we had some photo's posted & we had some intereaction with a few original Piston Popper members, they were going to post more photo's but then came the switch to Multiply & many didn't make the transition over, but if they had posted photo albums ,as well as posting messages then the albums would have made the migration, but photo's in the posts , I really don't know, and with no real 'search' window to scan the whole site ,it would take a long time to find posted messages if found at all. Good Luck ( ps: I also answered this question in the message you sent me too) HF&RV

Good afternoon!
I remember Lorne from his garage in Lasalle just off LaVerendrye. Maybe a Sunono?
Sooo long ago eh.! I bought Lorne and Allan's Anglia when they were living on Rejane stree in Lasalle. Sure'd like to see a pic of Lorne and Allen. I have a couple of pics. of the Orange Anglia if that'd be of interest. Also remember buying a 48 Merc coupe from Lorne when it was parked at his garage in Lasalle. Lorne's name came up at a resto in Verdun just lately and the stories started to roll. Apparently he taught Ti-Pit a load of engine building tricks down at Toledo in Verdun.
