Fox Hunting in Verdun

This old drawing wich no doubt dates from the 1800s shows a Fox hunt in Verdun. The text says: The meet of the Montreal Fox-Hounds at Verdun Lower Lachine Road (LaSalle Blvd). Hard to believe that such hunting went on in Verdun's history.

Foxes are moving in to cities. We have them in West Palm Beach. It won't surprise me if foxes return to Verdun. Had there been foxes in Verdun during the forties and fifties the rat problem would not have been as bad as it was.
