Queen's Park

I meant to mention that the area was situated between LaSalle, Galt, Bannantyne and Willibrord.

I do remember back in 1952 when my father got his frist car it was from Doyle motor a second car on the cornor of Willibrord and Bannantyne he was the only chev dealer ship in verdun at the time and before he was there was a race track i never knew what the track was call i do remember what is was before Doyle Motors was there.

Guy I can't find Queen's Park In Verdun .Are you sure it was called Queens Park?

It was defenately called Queen's Park, look at the photos on my site. I am also going to look if possibly some 8mm or 16mm films were made as the Lumière Bros. in France had invented the film camera a few years before the park was built. It would be quite a find.

Yes, thats one of the sites that has information on Queen's Park, Someone else gave me that same information the other day and I entered those photos on my site. I am continuing my research on this subject as I find it fascinating and I am sure I will make other discoveries wich I will pass on. I am especially interested in knowing if any 8mm or 16mm films exhist. How come they never told us about this park in school considering it was such an imposing international structure. I would certainly have appreciated this since I lived on Galt wich is where the park exhisted ?

I never heard of the Park until you mention it.My mother was from Galt Ave. till she got married.She moved from Cornwall.The Wattie family had 5 brothers and one sister.

I lived on Galt near Bannantyne from about 1936 to 1955.
