Nice old shots Guy,...... I don't Remember the Gagnon home on Lasalle Blvd ( at least I can't picture it right now) but I bet Maggie would Remember it, as she & her family lived on Lasalle Blvd not far from there. I can Remember a few homes along the riverside of Lasalle Blvd, some were set way back off te street, & some we used as a shortcut through to the Boardwalk,..but this home I can't remember, looks pretty fancy with that front gallery like that... I do Remember the Gagnon store of course,it was a big part of Wellington Streets Commerse at Vhurch Av   .....................................have fun and remember Verdun

Just watching the football game btwn:  Laval vs. UWO  Laval just scored again to make it 34-7 , but the reason I'm posting this is because it's lightly snowing in Laval and Nothing reminds me more of football as kids at this time of year , as when the snow starts to fall lightly during a game.................Just reminded me of being a kid.....                                  HF&RV

I lived between Willibrord and Rielle on LaSalle Blvd from 1965 to 77. The "Gagnon House" was there and known to us as the "Knights of Columbus" hall on one side (rented out for wedding receptions as well) and the side nearest to Willibrord housed a private "Nursing home". The "Manse" had been there since the 19th century and had beautiful grounds in the back.

Re the "Gagnon" house. That is not a very flattering photo of the old place. I remember it as a beautiful and grand brick house. The wide stairs leading to the double oak doors with etched glass windows were grand and the verandas with the big white pillars were often filled with elegantly dressed wedding guests on one side in the evening and elderly nursing home guests on the other out for some air. Thanks for the memory prompt!

I recall a few properties along Lasalle in that area, but as I mentioned earlier I can't recall this place,.but I thought with the hint from Maggie of KofC place that maybe I could find something....so far I have this , which mentions KofC in Verdun..( I also see the name of a Leo Seguin , I wonder if he was realtion to a David Seguin that I remember going to school with........ René et oncle Léo Séguin sont reçus Chevaliers de Colomb à Verdun Québec le 28 juin 1947. Knights of Columbus Initiation in Verdun Qu챕bec on June 28 1947 with uncle L챕o S챕guin http://lalondefamilywebsite.net/rene-lalonde/knights-of-colombus.html There are many different pictures on this site, but I'm listening to the Habs game & about to cook some steaks ,so mommasan & I can eat..........so maybe one of you may look through it & find a photo of the House in Question.?  I will try later.....too!!                                                                   HF&RV
