FIRTH, Ross D. former VHS principal passed away

I am advised by Laurie, a former member of V.C that FIRTH, Ross D. a former VHS Principal, passed away the 9th of February 2008 at age 79 at the Montreal General Hospital. The death is posted in the Gazette.

Altough I had many a run in with him , He was still a good man. He attended the last reunion held a few years ago. He was at that time in good spirits and remembered most of us that where there. Not bad considering there was about 500 of us. He will missed by alot of students   Roy Molyneux   VHS grad 1969

Ross D. Firth FIRTH, Ross D. Peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the Montreal General Hospital at age seventy-nine, after a valiant struggle with heart disease. Beloved husband of Phyllis McLean, loving father & father-in-law to Nancy & Bruce Beggs, Gordon & Lisa Clarkson, Diana & Glenn McDonald, devoted granddad to Colin, Stephanie, Samantha, Cameron, Lucy & Henry. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Isle La Motte United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow at the house. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Montreal General Hospital Foundation, 1650 Cedar Ave., Room E6129, Montreal, H3G 1A4 or to the Isle La Motto United Methodist Church, Isle La Motte, VT 05463 would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Roy, This may be the reunion you are referring to. His name appears in the publication: A Short History of Verdun High School 1912 - 1984 by C.E. Elliott to commemorate the closing of VHS. Guy

No this was not the one I was talking about. I was involved with the one held 29 sept 2001 which was held at Lasalle Catholic High School. Roy

Roy   Just posted on another thread..I agree with you in what you said..even after the run ins and all.It was all good...and he will be missed.   Lad
