Hi Guys,

Yesterday was my first day on verdun connection and got some e-mail to-day , saw a Bev Kane's name and was wondering if that  was the Kanes from 3rd avenue I used to live at 868  , and there was an Allen Kane that lived  next door and I believe he had a sister or cousin by the name of Bev. This sure is bringing back a lot of memories                               Clare (Gill) Chartier

Hi supermom,.(Clare) Welcome to the site,.hope you find some old friends,(I'm sure you will) ........Sometimes this site can be very busy,.and I see you have your settings to recieve email directly,.You may become overwhelmed sometimes with the Msg's being sent directly to you,.So if that is the case ,you can go into your settings & cchange it to 'online' only ......where you can check into the site & catch up on everything that way,. Good luck,..........and we hope you've got some old Verdun pictures  or whatever to share,..& stories too if you like............Have a look through all the photo albums ( under the 'pictures' link on the left side of this page,.Your sure to spark some memory's as there are a lot of neat old pics to be seen:                                                           Have Fun & Remember Verdun

Clare. Of course that is Bev. I use to live at 835 3rd Avenue. You remember that block, that also housed the Bordeaus, Caters, Featherstones, Emards, McDonalds, and of course my brother Bumpy...   Winston Allison

Clare. If I remmber correctly, your brother had an MG sports car. Red I think.

The red MG belong to Norm and I we had to give it up in '57 when we got married. I still have a picture of us with the MG.   Clare

Isn't neat sometimes, remembering  some incidental event. I can still see our street, and your house, and that MG. I thought if I ever was able to, I was going to get me and MG. Never did, but I have that wonderful memory. Thanks Clare

Hi Clare,  Yes, I am your former neighbour.  We were wondering if you were still around when we had our reunion last October.  Maureen Gill was there as well as all the Ringland girls, May, Ann and Evelyn.  Rose Emard, Elsie and Earlene Macdonald from across the street and Maureen McManus, Cookie Carlin, Barbara and Greer Nolan from down the way.  Linda Forsyth and Noreen Scanlon.  It was a fun night with lots of laughs.  We'll keep you in mind if we ever have another.  Bev.
