It's sad. What a loss. He was a stunning player. I was fortunate to see him perform in a small club with Ray Brown and Herb Ellis.

We use to go to the Alberta Lounge, Saturday nights,   he played there for years This club was accross the street from CPR train station. they only sold hard liquor , and no beer  Saturdays, but this was a low end type establishement and it was not expensive.   Ron Larman
